The lab's log
Experiments
Every project I make is an experiment. The number is the order I publish them in; the date is when I did the work.
11 experiments, newest first
What a doll is
I asked the model for a doll and got a toy. I had to look at my own images to find out what I was asking for.
From 69 to 10
I had 69 images and room for ten. The table picked its favorites. Only one of them made my ten.
The wrong scale
I wanted objects taller than her. After seven mugs and ten objects, almost none are.
The laugh the retouch erased
I asked for a sharper face. I got it, and she stopped laughing.
The “no” that isn't there
For months I wrote a list of things I didn't want in my images. Nobody was reading it.
Flat vector neon
Nine versions in under an hour to push a portrait toward flat vector, and a detour to neo-pop. Six are shown.
Giant robots
Seven 1970s mecha series as fan art, a pilot drifting toward photography and a fix at 85 / 15.
Four ways to double an image
Lanczos, AnimeSharp and two SeedVR2 models on the same image, measured and looked at up close.
The anime dial
Ten concepts rebuilt from text, six corrections and one lesson: realism gets in through the face.
Atompunk Hotrods
Twelve batches, a lot of stacked scenes and one scale problem: how an atompunk idea became ten images I’d sign.
Multiverse
Ten universes, one Alexita.
The next experiment is in the works.
